Mullen

How soon is too soon to start teasing a product? Would 16 months before its unveiling qualify? Mullen definitely doesn't think so. The company first teased the Five RS back in September of 2022. Then some more in August 2023. And now it's almost time for the official introduction, in 2024.

The Five RS will make its debut during CES, which takes place from January 9 to 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It will, unsurprisingly given its name, be based on Mullen's Five crossover.

The normal non-RS Five will hopefully enter mass production this year, and has previously been revealed to start at about $55,000 as a Tesla Model Y and VW ID.4 competitor, with a top speed of 155 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds. Range is estimated at about 325 miles from a 95 kWh battery.

The RS version promises more than 1,100 hp to achieve an under two-second 0 to 60 mph time and a top speed of 200 mph. There are no other details about it right now, but that's hopefully set to change within the next week, so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.
