Samsung Mercedes

Samsung has been putting extra effort into developing its Samsung Wallet for the past year or so with new payment features, added support for passes and event tickets and by expanding its reach to new markets. The company even partnered with several car manufacturers to offer digital car keys.

The latest addition to its list of partnerships is Mercedes-Benz. Samsung announced that starting in July, certain Mercedes owners will be able to add their digital car keys to Samsung Wallet and start unlocking their cars without physical keys.

Since the feature requires Bluetooth LE and UWB, only higher-end Galaxy smartphones support the digital car keys feature. Of course, not all Mercedes vehicles support the tech, but users can expect fairly broad integration, unlike Volvo and Polestar where the feature is limited to just a couple of models and markets.

Samsung Wallet is already offering digital car keys for BMW, Mini, Audi, and the whole Hyundai Group, but it looks like Samsung is working toward expanding that list.

Unfortunately, we don't have the full list of Mercedes models that will support Samsung Wallet, but we will know soon enough once the feature rolls out sometime next month.

unfortunately, even plenty of samsung flagships to the date don't have UWB including s25 and flip6. it is rumored to be added to flip7 but, no information about s26 yet.

This is a confusing ad for digital key in Samsung Flip phone as none of the Flip phones currently have UWB.
