Xiaomi

Xiaomi President Lu Weibing was recently in Germany, where he took the company's SU7 Ultra for a test drive from Berlin to Hamburg and Hamburg to Frankfurt.

In total, Lu drove around 497 miles, and, since parts of the German highway network (Autobahn) don't have a speed limit, managed to reach a top speed of 162 mph in the car, which remained "very stable" in the process, according to his own words posted to Weibo.

Inevitably, Lu also had to experience the charging facilities in Germany on his way, and he thinks they are rather good. While he was waiting for the car to charge, many people recognized it - some even knew it by name, and came over to take a closer look.

This is obviously good news for Xiaomi, as the company plans on starting car sales in Europe in 2027. The SU7 Ultra's performance on the Nürburgring definitely helped it achieve notoriety among German drivers, that's for sure.

Why are ppl so ignorant.. the autobahn has no speed limit, you can drive as fast as you wish as long as you follow the rules. Unlike the ignorant Americans, the rules are simple, left lane is for passing, do not pass on the right, if you are in the l...

He didn't do it to prove anything. There are thousands of drivers in Germany driving everyday on the Autobahn at 250km/h (speed limiter maximum on most cars) or even faster (sportier cars with no limiter). In every day trip I take in Germany, I&...
