Honda Announcement

Honda kicked off the 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) by announcing the sales of its e:NP2 and e:NS2 EVs in collaboration with its two joint ventures - GAC and Dongfeng.

The e:NP2 will go on sale today from the GAC Honda joint venture, while the e:NS2 will go on sale in June of this year from the Dongfeng Honda venture.

Honda held off on the specifics like price and performance figures but did say the e:NP2 will offer up to 339 miles on the CLTC standard, which is about 22 miles more than the e:NP1.

The company announced that it plans to introduce a total of 10 Honda-brand EVs in China by 2027, and aims for EVs to represent 100% of Honda sales in the largest market by 2035.

The e:NP2 and e:NS2 are very similar in both looks and size - the NP2 is just 1 mm longer than the NS2. The e:NP2 has claw-like headlights, while the e:NS2 gets more of a fang-shaped design.
