Tesla can claim, Apple can claim something, Mercedes ... but unless I see a review, I simply take it only as s non-reliable claim.

When it comes to self-driving, I would not be surprised of Tesla being ahead of Mercedes ... by a decent margin, actually. It's a big different being able to drive on some roads and general AI driving model.

And one day I wake up and I read on the news that Mercedes got level 3 autonomous driving clearance (for some roads in Germany) and I wonder, where did that come from? Wasn't Tesla far ahead? Well no! They (he) were simply much better at lying about it

TBH, I am fine with all those shenanigans regarding Tesla self-driving - they are seriously moving forward, improving tech, they get fines (especially in Europe) when they mislead customers or misrepresent their product.
It's a process, every manufacturer goes through it when they are trying to archive the best result in this category - like Mercedes and their crappy solution, BUT they are working on it hard.
Would I drive a self-driving car and depend on it? Hell no, I live in Europe, and it won't work on these roads probably 50% of the time.

AI driven car at least stays in their lanes when driving on twisty roads and uses turn signals properly :-D
