SuperSpruce, 15 May 2023What a stupid move. FSD is quite the technological challenge, and removing the radars needless... moreThat's OK, Musk can do this so self driving can drive up on a curb and hit as many pedestrians as a gripper driving down in Florida. Then the next Superbowl can have another ad with Tesla competing with 80 year olds to see who can be the least attentive driver.

They are not removing them. The just. Disconnect it and cap the connector. The radar is no longer being used and is disconnected to prevent issues from an inactive module.

What a stupid move. FSD is quite the technological challenge, and removing the radars needlessly makes it harder, giving an opening for competitors to catch up to Tesla.

I am actually pissed off at all those people who buy a Tesla and contribute to the ego of the Musk and those alike. I do not have the purchasing power of owning a Tesla but I would NEVER - and I swear to god when I say NEVER - buy a car from a manufacturer who wants me to believe my purchase is just a licensed service. To hell with Tesla. I am just waiting for them to crash under their grandious dream.
