"It means that once you’ve had an update and you pull up at the charger and plug the cable in, your car will present itself to the charger and will begin charging immediately. Confused? Didn’t all VW cars do it already? It’s the bit when you have to pay or choose the payment method that is axed from the process."

I get it, it takes a lot of time and resources to implement things like these to work well with everything else, but VW is no small company, it surprises me how long it took them to "realize" these things are as important as the EV's themselves. And by around 2025 it will actually be worth getting one.
