IMHO, the functionality is so limited and UI so bad, you would have to make default car UI utterly useless for CarPlay+ to be considered even a small benefit.
Yeah, you can save your AC preferences in a bubble icon ... you can do it in car infotainment with two clicks and with consistent UI ...
