Take for example Tesla - those made in US are really low quality with quite a lot of defects, those made in China are made considerably better when it comes to exterior quality - they still have a ton of QC issues, but considerably less so.
When manufacturing is China grants you cheaper costs and more qualified work force, it is hard to justify manufacturing elsewhere. At least it is hard to relate this sentiment to Investors).
