Most citizens have to pay more to drive to work. Grocery stores have to pay more to ship food to their stores. Online stores have to pay more to ship items.

Tesla, who literally should be making electric semi trucks, should not be affected by this. They should not be relying on trucks that get 5 miles to the gallon to ship parts and deliver cars.

Increased margin is not only about increased pricing(of course it helps) but also increase volume as your opex will be reduced with the volume/revenue increase, if they had not been able to increase the volume, their bottom row margin would be worse despite price increase.
