Signal stalk are more intuitive, and they will be back in Europe as well in the next refresh.
One of the reasons Y has them as well is NCAP ... bless them, battling manufacturer's utter stupidity.

The left and right arrow icons should be stacked, not side-by-side. Right arrow icon printed above the left arrow icon. Print each icon at an equal radius from the steering wheel center of rotation would be most intuitive.
