Pop Top, 22 Sep 2025Integrating invertors into the sealed battery compartment... what could go wrong? Besides, it ... moreFortunately engineers are moving forward and learning from past failures. Technology is moving light speed ahead, and I am sure that the tech in these batteries are as stated of the art as possible.

Kraken, 23 Sep 2025I love how Tesla comes up with this and ever since then we have BMW, PORSCHE, PEUGEOT, BYD and... moreAnd your point is? We are all standing on the shoulders of the giants, it is the nature of technology. Though the idea of integrating invertors into the battery is pretty silly - it is part of the "centralized" approach to BEV packaging that offers cost reduction now, but has clear limits, as well as repairability issues - battery typically outlasts the electronics. The "decentralized" packaging (Hyundai, Renault, Brimag, etc) will win out in the long run.

Integrating invertors into the sealed battery compartment... what could go wrong? Besides, it was already attempted with terrible results on Ford Mach-E - electronics of the inverter are, typically, less reliable than the battery itself at this point and when it breaks while being housed inside the battery, as opposed to being integrated into the motor, like Brimag and many others are doing, it will require unsealing the battery and procedure to seal it back requires some serious effort and cert, potentially leading to it being just dumped, instead of being repaired.
