Anonymous, 10 Oct 2025If I could get my hands on one, I would buy immediately. This Ferrari?

You could give me that money instead. You would have done a good dead by helping me, I would be immensely grateful and you would also help planet earth by reducing pollution from manufacturing the battery in this car.

As to the rest of your post. There is no other route and this won't change anytime soon.
People want long range on a single charge, so you need a big battery, but the bigger the heavier and It's totally a different weight class compared to a single 50 liter fuel tank.
Because the car is heavier you need a stronger motor or more to keep It fast, but this also increases the consumption of battery and adds to the car weight, a vicious circle.
You can shave off weight in hundreds of kg by putting only a 20KW battery inside, but what's the point If the range will be shorter than 100km. It would be an unusable car.

You are basically paying for the logo or place where It is made, but there is no longer any significant quality difference between western or Chinese cars. They caught up.

if you slapped a byd/xiaomi logo on this, who would know the difference.

After Porsche, the chinese beat Ferrari on performance and price. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is far above at performance level and you can buy 5 or 6 for the price of the Ferrari. (an idea: buy the full color palette instead of the Ferrari red which is so outfashioned now).
