After all the "EV promises" in the VW diesel-gate settlement, is VW-Porsche sneaking back towards gas?

They are just going to put the electric motor to the front with the existing Polo independent suspension, and put a cheap fixed beam rear suspension. For the mainstream brands, cost management and stock price is more important than producing efficient and competitive cars. Because they know that most people buy with their emotions...

It is NOT OK, to make new EV with front wheel drive,
to compete with Chinese rear wheel drive EV.

Too bad for the nice design.

Not everyone shares your view that the price tag is the only deciding factor.

Frici, 15 Dec 202537 kWh disappontingly low capacity for the safer battery chemistry. The article only discloses range values for the bigger battery. Converting this to the consumption on 100 kilometers we end up with 11.6 kw. Let's assume that this is very optimistic. Still, considering the lighter weight of the smaller battery we should expect a range of close to 300 km for the smaller 37 kwh battery.

And the LFP chemistry is reported to be more friendly towards higher or lower state of charge. That should result in more usable percentages.
