So investing in solar isn't worth it unless they're planning on staying at the same spot +30y

Just wondering why there is zero solar on that giant roof. In a country with that much sunshine solar would bring down running costs quite a bit.

Anyway, interesting to see vehicle production in Saudi Arabia.

BTW Its nice that Saudi Arabia doesnt want to rely entirely on oil, but I dont think building a car factory will help much, especially considering how much money they already poured in It and that there are zero % taxes.

It's weird that Lucid is claiming they have component shortages, especially when USA has many car factories, so there shouldn't be a problem with suppliers, especially when they are making so little cars.

Of course you can scale a factory to that number but first you can't compare Chinese numbers to anything else. Second, Lucid have one factory in Saudi, which you need to ship pretty much every component to, and one in Arizona which still has supply constraints because not a lot of components are produced nearby. None of their decisions make sense. No wonder they burn billions every year and don't improve.

A single car factory can easily make 150,000 cars per year.
Why Lucid motors only managed a bit over 18,000 cars in 2025 is beyond me and It evokes scepticism about their new goal.
