Those US prices are actually relatively 'cheap'. That's only a bit more than a pimped out Model Y ... Tesla are going to have a horrific year. IMO they probably start making losses in Q2 or Q3.

Yup, NFC app based phone entry. Also there is a fine balance between too many buttons and no buttons. Key makers need to find that. Voice control for all basic features is even better
EU regulators need to allow after-market replacement car key fobs. The dealer only $500 replacement keys is an anti-competitive behavior that has gone unregulated for too long. Two minutes of labor should be sufficient using a common phone, published open-API, and generic BT OBD2.
