MX-5 Miata NE needs:
1: more legroom, headroom, recline for real size passenger (no Bose footwell kludge);
2: more legroom, headroom, recline for real size driver;
3: current tech like 4-tire TPMS read-out, current maps, cup-a holders, MagSafe Qi 2.2 25W chargers, auto-up windows, large TSD display, glove box;
4: updated reliable drivetrain;
5: skip the wacked sound pipe thinking;
6: no excuses with so much time to get it right since ND...

Johnny, 12 Feb 2026Its a shame again from Mazda this EV needed to be faster somewhere in the 0-60 in under 6 Seco... moreIt is a large saloon car, almost 5 metres long, so there is no point in making it fast. Mazda now needs to offer a compact car, between 4.40 metres for the hatchback version and 4.60 metres for the saloon version. This could be lighter, more manoeuvrable and faster. And much easier to sell in Europe.

Its a shame again from Mazda this EV needed to be faster somewhere in the 0-60 in under 6 Seconds. They failed the MX-30 with it being heavy, slow and lacking in range. Now this has an interior with huge bolt on screens like everything else instead of Kodo design and now its slow!
