And about the electricity, germany were producing so much wind electricity that there was a time when they paid people to use their electricity (so basically it's a FREE electricity). Just buy the biggest home battery you can get, suck the grid power when it's cheap (or free!) and get a better mileage cost than any ICE can give you (and this is before we even considering the price increase during the war, which might double the gas price later this year, or worse - a gas ration where the government will limit the amount you can buy - which might happen if certain country started targeting US's own oil refineries)

And EVs are still more expensive than ICE, especially If you want a good one.
Oil prices increased, true, but only because of the war. Before the prices were as low as ~60$, but we dont know when the war will stop.
And the reason why you pay so much at gas stations is because countries are heavily taxing fuel. If the consumption of fuel drops and with It the revenue from It then the countries will tax more the electricity.
Its great that the range is increasing, which was a major disadvantage, but the high EV prices are the biggest disadvantage. And future electricity prices vs fuel are questionable.

Of course the electricity price will climb too (thanks to massive installment of AI farm everywhere), but if you have the money to invest in solar plant then it will pay for itself in less than a decade while giving you the energy independence...
More like 450 miles of range , still super impressive. The 500 mile EV has been the golden standard that the industry has been missing for 15 years now...we are finally coming closer to it.
