I won't be surprised if more people opt for the EREV version. Heck, I keep seeing more HEV variations on the road instead of BEV, and I can totally understand why. No matter how much charging power you give to an EV station, it's never as fast as filling up petrol and diesel.

At least compared to the DMI from BYD the IC engine in XPeng EREV does not under no circumstances power the wheels directly. And yet, i always wonder why it needs to be such a large IC engine. Wouldn't a 2-cylinder motorcycle engine for turning a generator be enough? I get it, the engineers certainly have thought about it. Still, just wondering.....
