XPeng

XPeng is working on an updated Mona M03, and this has just been certified by the relevant Chinese authorities ahead of its launch. The M03 is the first model in XPeng's Mona line, and it has consistently been XPeng's best selling car since its launch in August of last year.

The M03 accounted for 41.66% of XPeng's sales from January to November, so this refresh, while minor, is definitely very important. The new Mona M03 is 5mm longer at 188.4 inches, while the other dimensions remain the same (74.6 inches width, 56.9 inches height, 110.8 inches wheelbase).

The new car gains 12 miles of CLTC range from its 62.2kWh battery, now going up to 398 miles. The battery size itself hasn't changed, there's currently also a cheaper option with a 51.8kWh pack. The new model will introduce a middle of the road 61.6kWh option.

The Mona M03 currently starts at CNY 119,800, which translates into about $17,000, roughly half the price of Tesla's entry-level Model 3 in China, and this obviously explains its popularity.
