Google

The seamless integration of our smartphones with our cars has become an integral part of modern driving, and Android Auto has been at the forefront of this revolution. Google proves its dedication to enhancing the Android Auto experience by continuously rolling out new features and updates. The latest in the Android Auto world is a fresh design for Google Assistant that resembles to Apple's Siri.

The revamped Google Assistant for Samsung's Galaxy interface is prominently displayed when the system is awaiting a response from the user. It's a visual cue that the assistant is actively listening or processing a request. While some may appreciate the clarity this provides, others argue it's an unnecessary distraction, particularly considering Google Assistant already has a multi-color animation at the bottom of the Android Auto screen that serves a similar purpose. The new design is reportedly visible on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 running Android Auto v12.5 and could be available on other Samsung phones running One UI 6.1 or One UI 6.1.1.

This design change is another instance of the growing synergy between Samsung and Google. In recent years, we've seen Samsung introduce the SmartThings app to Android Auto, allowing for convenient control of smart home devices directly from the car's dashboard. When a Samsung phone connects to an Android Auto-compatible infotainment system, a unique set of squircle-shaped app icons pop up on the screen. It's a subtle touch that adds a layer of visual consistency for Samsung users.

Beyond aesthetics, Google is actively working to make Android Auto smarter and safer. An upcoming feature will leverage AI to provide concise summaries of incoming messages, reducing the temptation to glance at the phone while driving. For electric vehicle owners, Android Auto has already introduced a feature that shares real-time battery information with Google Maps. This integration allows drivers to assess whether they have enough charge to reach their destination.

While the Siri-like Google Assistant design might be a point of contention among users, it's undeniable that Google is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what Android Auto can do. From deeper integration with Samsung devices to AI-powered features and EV-specific functionalities, Android Auto is evolving into a comprehensive driving companion.

Seems like you need it. Then, please tell me why you need android auto and how you use it while driving. Because your reply shows that you took a sentence out of context and generalized its message to criticize my comment. In my opinion, Android...
