BYD

A couple of days ago, BYD released some camo shots of its upcoming Da Han sedan, and today the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has published the car's official certification for sales in the country.

This has outed the images you can see below, and also revealed the fact that the car is 206.9 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, 59.4 inches tall, and has a wheelbase of 123.2 inches. It has two BEV versions and one PHEV option.

The entry-level BEV model has one rear motor developing 370kW of power which allows for a top speed of 149 mph. The dual-motor all wheel drive BEV option adds a 200kW motor at the front for a total power output of 570kW and a top speed of 168 mph.

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5l engine developing 115kW of power with a 200kW electric motor, and this version has a top speed of 140 mph. All three variants use BYD's new LFP Blade battery that supports flash charging.

The Da Han will sit above the 'vanilla' Han in BYD's lineup, and it's the first D-class flagship sedan in the company's Dynasty family of premium vehicles. The name, which translates to "big Han" or "great Han" was chosen by BYD's online user community.

The Da Han is expected to launch alongside the Da Tang SUV on June 17.
