Renault

The relentless teaser campaign for the upcoming Renault 5 EV continues. So far, we've seen a prototype at Roland Garros, some design details along with pricing and battery capacity, as well as a teaser video.

Today, it's time for colors. Renault revealed the three "flagship colors" for the upcoming car. The use of the word "flagship" implies there may be more paintjobs available, but these three will be the ones Renault will focus its marketing materials on.

Here are the three flagship colors of the Renault 5

And, looking at them, we can see why - they are all very striking indeed, and are sure to make an impression, be that in press materials and on Renault's websites, or on the road once it hits the streets.

Speaking of which, the petite 154.3 inches long Renault 5 should arrive this year, with a 134 hp / 100 kW front-mounted motor, and a 52 kWh battery with a WLTP range of up to 249 miles. At a later point (presumably next year) it will also be offered with a 40 kWh battery.

According to information previously released by Renault, the 5 should start at around $29,300, though whether that number will go up before release or not remains to be seen - it wouldn't be unheard of in the EV space, unfortunately.
