Li Auto

Li Auto's next SUV is the Li L8 and it's supposed to launch in November but before that, it has to go be certified by China's Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT). The regulatory filing is still a draft, but it's already public and people can send their feedback until September 19. The final version of the vehicle will be published shortly after.

Anyway, the document contains some general specs and a series of photos. By the looks of it, the Li L8 looks identical to the Li L9 with some minor differences in dimensions. The former is 5.08m in length, 2.0m in width, 1.8m in height and has a wheelbase of 3.0m. The Li L9's respective measurements are 5.22m, 2.0m, 1.8m and 3.11m.

There's going to be a model with a fuel-powered range extender going up to 180 km/h. The extender itself is 1.5l and has 113kW of maximum output. The fully-electric option's specs are still unknown, but the battery is supplied by CATL and the version will be available with and without LiDAR. Additionally, Li Auto will offer the vehicle in five and six-seat versions.

The L8 will start shipping sometime in November shortly after its official launch.
