Lynk & Co Zero EV sheds its camo

Lynk & Co

Spy shots have finally surfaced, revealing the striking front end of Lynk & Co's highly anticipated all-electric flagship: the Zero. While Geely's premium brand, Lynk & Co, is known for its distinctive styling, the Zero EV takes a fresh design direction.

Instead of mirroring the recent 07 EM-P SUV, the Zero flaunts a unique front fascia with four vertical running lights framing longer bars that cascade toward the headlights. Sharp hood creases add a sporty flair, while the bumper maintains a streamlined aesthetic. These first uncovered glimpses promise a sleek sedan, potentially hinting toward a performance-oriented character.

Although the rest of the Zero remains shrouded in secrecy for now, internet renderings offer clues. Lidar sensors and a panoramic roof suggest luxurious tech, while other spy shots confirm sporty wheels wrapped in Michelin PS4 tires. One particularly intriguing element is a small, uniquely shaped window between the C and D pillars, adding a touch of flair to the silhouette.

Built on the dedicated Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Zero is expected to rival the Geely-owned Zeekr 001 in performance and luxury. This hints at an 800-volt system, dual-motor all-wheel-drive, and roughly 580 kW (780 horsepower) for thrilling acceleration. Its range could exceed 373 miles under the optimistic CLTC cycle.

Rumors also point to a possible quad-motor variant and four-wheel steering, further hinting at an impressive performance focus. Lynk & Co appears intent on delivering a potent electric sedan that will compete directly against upcoming models like the Xiaomi SU7 and IM L6.

Anticipation is high as Lynk & Co prepares for an official unveiling, which is speculated to be next month in Gothenburg, Sweden. With a rumored price tag of around RMB 300,000 ($41,450), the Zero EV promises to make a splash in the premium electric car segment.
