In Germany, a popular battery brand named Varta is making a type of battery that is quickly printable, rechargable, and biodegradable for use in nano machines. They will eliminate low power batteries like coin batteries, 9V, C, and AA. Perfect for television remotes, hearing aids, gps trackers, electronic implants, LED clothing, etc. Check out Youtuber Charbax's interview with Varta engineers at a trade show.

I know that the advancements are still in infancy but just imagine what if this is successful. Battery problems will essentially be a thing of the past and other phone components will die or get outdated faster than the battery. However, I'm not sure phone manufacturers will allow this because their current model depends on people replacing their phones every couple of years when the battery dies. It seems like a far-fetched idea but maybe they'll start charging subscription fees for even longer software support than what is currently offered. If we'll be here in ten years, then the smartphone industry will definitely be very interesting.

I'm hearing such kind of news at least the last 15 years and all of them turned out to be either BS or too difficult to manufacture or too expensive. Nothing new here irrespective of what they say...

In the real world there is only sodium in addition to lithium, and even so it is in its infancy. The rest is fallacy that dies on paper or with extremely limited use, leaving only loss and hope for investors.

Why even bother reporting this. Ground-breaking battery technologies are seemingly discovered every other week. And then we it goes absolutely nowhere.

That’s great news, and now we will never hear about this again because it will never go to market.

I always thought sulfur is bad for environment and cause respiratory disease.
