I have the first version of AAWireless, and it’s a fantastic combination. What’s frustrating is that not every Android Auto implementation on phones works the same. The software on the multimedia unit, the phone, and AAWireless doesn’t always function smoothly together. While my wife’s Suzuki and Samsung work brilliantly, my Xiaomi 13 with my Toyota doesn’t. After an initial start that’s really fast, the connection resets after 1-2 minutes. The issue lies with the Xiaomi, as switching to another phone results in an uninterrupted connection. That’s why GSM Arena should include tests of Auto/CarPlay in their reviews.
