Last year at the Le Mans 24-hour race, Peugeot presented its E-208 GTi concept, the hot hatch for the electric generation. Now, almost one year later, the brand is finally almost ready to introduce the full production version.
It will be unveiled on Friday, June 12, at 1 PM Central European Time, at Le Mans. Peugeot promises that the production car is actually "extremely faithful" to the concept presented one year ago.
It's designed by Peugeot in France, expressing "French charisma and iconic GTi style, combining sportiness and elegance in unique harmony", the official press release says.
If you're wondering just what to expect from the production E-208 GTi, Peugeot says you're in for some "unique driving pleasure, a sporty yet elegant design and exceptional versatility", with an injection of "modernity, fun, and technology". Its performance figures are "intended to WOW", the brand proudly boasts.
