Xiaomi launched its SkyNomad N90 and SkyNomad N70 EREVs in China last month, with pre-orders having started at the end of July. The company has now announced that it's already secured over 70,000 locked-in orders for the two models in just one month from the launch.
Xiaomi delivered over 10,000 SkyNomad vehicles in September, helping drive its total car delivery number to over 40,000 for the month, which was its highest monthly level this year, up from 30,153 in August.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi hasn't provided an order breakdown per model for the SkyNomad series. It is nevertheless good to have an update on locked-in orders, as the previous thing the company said about that was in September, when it reported having received over 10,000 of them within just 4 minutes of the launch.
With SkyNomad, Xiaomi has diversified its portfolio from pure battery-electric vehicles like the SU7 and YU7, which were its first two models. The SkyNomad N70 and N90 are EREVs aimed at people who still suffer from some range anxiety when it comes to pure battery-electric vehicles.
