Nissan

Nissan just laid out a comprehensive plan called "The Arc", detailing the rest of the steps it plan to take to electrify its car lineup. The Japanese maker plans to expand its lineup, transform its manufacturing and engineering approaches so it can make EVs affordable for everyone.

Get ready for an onslaught of new Nissan models – 30 in just three years! That’s on average one new model every 1.2 months, a pace rarely seen in the industry. Of those 30, 16 will be either fully electric or hybrids. Nissan promises a mix of crossovers, SUVs, and even a pickup truck.

The US market is getting seven new models, including its first e-Power hybrid car. It's an interesting concept that provides the smoothness of an electric drivetrain and the range and quick refueling of an ICE car, but it does consume more petrol than a gas car in most scenarios too.

China will receive eight new models, Europe is slated for six, and markets like India, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania will all see expanded Nissan lineups. This plan is about making sure every corner of the world gets a taste of Nissan's electrified future.

Nissan is also rethinking how it builds electric cars, aiming to cut the cost of next-generation EVs by a whopping 30% compared to today's models. Nissan is aiming to achieve price parity between ICE cars and EV by the end of the decade.
