Hyundai Kia Samsung

Perhaps one of the biggest, if not the biggest, ecosystem for connected devices is Samsung's SmartThings and with its recent move, the service become far more useful. SmartThings now allows integration with Hyundai and Kia EVs through its "Car-To-Home" and "Home-To-Car" connected services.

In short, you will be able to control your connected home appliances and devices using your car's infotainment system and vice versa. And if your car's an EV, you can track and control the charging process using your SmartThings devices.

Routines are also available. For instance, a "Good Morning" routine will open up the curtains, turn on the lights, etc., while an "Arriving Home" routine will start the AC once you are close enough to your home.

Back in November, Samsung announced SmartThings' integration with EvLoop's charging network, so the new deal with Hyundai and Kia is another step in the right direction for EV users, who own Samsung phones.
