The Smart #2 was recently spotted undergoing testing ahead of its launch at the Paris Motor Show in October. In case you're not aware, this is an EV that's very much inspired by the original Smart ForTwo city car. It has a very similar shape and size, but of course it's electric.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has now certified the car for sale in the country, and this process has revealed the images of the car that you can see below.
The Smart #2 is 108.8 inches long, 65.7 inches wide, 61.2 inches tall, and has a 73.8 inches wheelbase. The production version seems to be very close to the concept car that was unveiled back in April, in fact you can even get the distinctive front grille as an optional extra.
The car has previously been revealed to come with a CLTC range of almost 249 miles, but of course do keep in mind that this is by far the most optimistic test cycle in the world. The Smart #2 is expected to be manufactured in China and released in early 2027.
