Tesla

Tesla's Cybertruck isn't just a weird looking toy "for Silicon Valley people", which looks good "parked in front of a hotel". It can also do off-road stuff, did you know? Well, Tesla wants you to know, so it's released a couple of promo videos today showing the Cybertruck doing just that.

And this isn't just anywhere, mind you. The Cybertruck was taken to Utah, onto the pretty aptly named Hell's Revenge 4x4 trail. Naturally since these are official promo videos, it did very well. Here's the first video, posted to the official Cybertruck account on X.

Later on, the Cybertruck's lead engineer, Wes Morrill, shared another video, apparently upon popular request, showing the Cybertruck in the Hell's Revenge Hot Tub.

That's some scary, all-wheel-drive, 4x4, off-road stuff right there. So remember, kids - the Cybertruck isn't all for show, it can also be fun to take off the roads. Especially as the Cybertruck team has been "sharpening the pencil" for Off-Road controls, which will come in a future over-the-air update to make it feel like "off-roading in easy mode" on the tri-motor Cybertruck, Morrill says.

According to the internet, Hell's Revenge is a very popular trail, but extremely difficult due to its hazardous terrain, and it's only recommended for very experienced drivers. The Red Rock 4-Wheelers rate it a 6 out of 10, which means you should expect "loose rocks, dirt, and slickrock", with steps not exceeding 36 inches. Enhanced suspension travel and good ground clearance are required for trails that have this rating.

I've seen this vehicle struggle through a few cm of snow and you expect me to believe it did this? Likely heavily modified.
