This is when Tesla's FSD gets voice controls through Grok

Tesla

Tesla is currently working on integrating the Grok AI chatbot with the FSD functionality, something CEO Elon Musk first announced back in February. Today, Musk is back with a new post on X about this, and this time he revealed the launch timeline.

According to Musk, this will be ready "in about 3 months or so". Of course, Musk is notorious for announcing launch timelines that then keep slipping, so take this one with an extra dose of salt.

This is when Tesla's FSD gets voice controls through Grok

In his post on X announcing this, Musk was replying to a user asking "to be able to converse" with Grok "like we can with an Uber driver". Examples the user in question mentioned were "Hey Grok, turn right here", "Drop us off right here, we'll walk due to traffic", and "Drop at entrance first, then park far away".

It's unclear how close Tesla's implementation of the feature will be to these requests and how much Grok will actually be able to do, but it sounds like a useful thing to have - basically the ability to control FSD through Grok, having a conversation with the chatbot.
