Volkswagen Featured Test

As we move forward with our Volkswagen ID.4 GTX review we have the results from two more tests to share with you.

Volkswagen ID.4 GTX 0-100 acceleration and breaking test

We’ll start with the 0-100 acceleration time. The ID.4 GTX supplies 220 kW (299 hp) to the road through its AWD system. According to the company claims that is enough to shoot the 2.3 ton car from 0 to 62 mph in brisk 6.2s.

In our testing it actually did significantly better, hitting the mark in 5.57s. Our test car was equipped with the Pirelli Scorpion ELECT tires, which are actually more optimized for low rolling resistance than ultimate grip.

The performance in the braking test was less impressive, the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX taking 37m to come from 62 mph to a halt.We imagine opting for more performance oriented tires can help bring that down by a couple of meters, despite the car’s substantial weight.
