Cadillac reveals Optiq's interior ahead of launch

Max McDee, 15 April 2024

Cadillac

Cadillac is about to launch its Optiq electric SUV as a more affordable version of the Lyriq.

The company has now reavealed Optiq's interior, featuring a three-spoke steering wheel and a massive, curved display merging the instrument panel with the infotainment system. And while those are shared with the Lyriq, the Optiq establishes its own identity with a different dashboard styling and a distinct center console design.

The floating center console design has generously sized storage cubby underneath with USB-C ports for charging your devices.

Cadillac showed two of its color options with saddle-toned leather, complemented by black accents, and light gray leather with contrasting blue inserts. It's unclear if there will be more options when the car goes official.

Details on powertrain options are still missing. Rumors suggest single-motor front-wheel-drive variant and dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions. The Optiq is expected to share its underpinnings with models like the Chevrolet Equinox EV, potentially placing its power output in a similar ballpark.

Luxury and tech meet in Cadillac Optiq’s interior

We anticipate more details on powertrain specifications, trims, pricing, and availability in the lead-up to Optiq's US market launch towards the end of this year.
