A couple of the most renowned American car manufacturers, Ford and GM, officially announced they will be adopting Tesla's NACS connector for fast DC charging and now charging station manufacturers are following suit. ChargePoint is the latest company to announce the adoption of the NACS outlet and ensures cost-effective field upgrade for its current chargers.

Charging station manufacturers are also moving to Tesla's NACS connector

In addition to ChargePoint, ABB, Blink Charging, EVgo, FLO, Tritium and Wallbox have also pleaded allegiance to NACS. Interestingly enough, Electrify America isn't on the list, but since it sources the charging stations from ABB and Tritium, it may be forced to make the transition anyway.

It seems like the wave is turning and NACS may very well become North America's official charging standard.
