Citroen Peugeot

Citroen unveiled the e-C3 as the savior of the European EV market last year, with its price starting at $27,300 and thus being able to take the Chinese competition head-on. Its launch hasn't been smooth sailing at all, however.

It has now emerged that the e-C3 has been delayed due to software bugs. The car is now said to be "months behind schedule". Deliveries were supposed to start in the second quarter of this year, so between April and June.

Yet here we are in August and that hasn't happened yet. The brand is now targeting shipments to start "after the summer break", with nothing more concrete than that at the moment. Citroen has received 30,000 orders for the e-C3 so far.

At the same time, the Peugeot e-3008 is facing issues reaching full-scale deliveries in some countries due to component problems in its powertrain. Deliveries for it started in March in France and in June elsewhere, though they were originally scheduled for February. Peugeot has received 50,000 orders for the e-3008 at the end of July.
