Genesis

Genesis is going to assemble the Electrified GV70 for the US market at its Montgomery, Alabama manufacturing facility. It will be the first Genesis to be assembled in the US, and the first Genesis to be assembled outside South Korea, its home. It is, however, not the first EV that the brand offers in the US - it's joining the GV60 SUV and Electrified G80 sedan, which were launched last year.

The brand has also revealed that the Electrified GV70 will start at $65,850 in the US. As is the norm for the brand, this includes the entire suite of available safety and driver assistance systems. An 8-inch digital cluster and 14.5" HD navigation screen, as well as vehicle-to-load charging are also standard in the base trim, which is called Advanced.

For $72,650 you can have the Prestige trim instead, which adds Nappa leather seating surfaces, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, microfiber suede headliner, a head-up display, a 3D instrument cluster, premium audio, active noise control, heated second row seats and steering wheel, and manual rear door shades.

Both trims feature the same drivetrain, which develops a total of 435 hp from its dual motors, with 700 Nm torque. They also share the same 77.4 kWh battery, and have a panoramic sunroof, and 20" wheels. More details regarding availability in the US will be revealed "closer to launch", Genesis assures us. So stay tuned.
