Here's how Tesla's robots test the Cybertruck's seats

To say that Tesla's Cybertruck has been a very, very long time coming would be an understatement. But, around three and a half years after its official unveiling, its production has finally begun a few days ago.

To point out how rigorous that production process is, and how much quality checking it does, today Tesla has uploaded the promo video you can see below. It depicts specialized robots testing the seats on the Cybertruck. Each seat gets 50,000 "ingress/egress" cycles before it's given the all clear.

Basically the robot simulates people sitting on the seats, getting up, moving around in them, that sort of thing. Tesla says that's equivalent to "a lifetime of use", although it's unclear if it means the Cybertruck's lifetime or the Cybertruck buyer's lifetime.

As you can see in the video, the Cybertruck's seats feature very prominent side support, and the shape is vaguely reminiscent of the truck itself. Now that production is finally underway, the first deliveries, which will most likely be to Tesla employees, are due to happen by the end of September.

I wonder if they do anything to improve terrible built quality of their cars. even Tesla model s assembly is on par with a Fiat.
