Hyundai is finally ready to unveil its much-anticipated Ioniq 9. This three-row, all-electric SUV will have its global debut at the LA Auto Show, and its interior is the focus of the latest teaser. The 2024 LA Auto Show is shaping up to be an exciting event for electric vehicle enthusiasts.

The Ioniq 9 shares its platform with the Kia EV9, but Hyundai has taken a distinct approach to styling and features. The exterior has what Hyundai calls an "Aerosthetic" design. In plain speak, it means smooth lines and aerodynamic efficiency. Specific details are still under wraps, but the latest teaser images suggest a modern and sophisticated look with Hyundai's signature digital pixel lighting.

Inside, the Ioniq 9 promises as a "lounge-like" space, with soft, elliptical elements creating a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Ioniq 9 has a flat floor, allowing for easy movement between the three rows of seats.

The Ioniq 9 will accommodate up to seven passengers. Hyundai talks about its flexibility, with a seating arrangement that can adapt to various needs and situations. Ioniq 9 will provide plenty of space for carrying passengers or cargo, with a big focus on practicality.

Hyundai is also promising a "reassuring range," though official figures have yet to be released. Given that the Ioniq 9 shares its platform with the Kia EV9, which offers up to 336 miles of range, it's reasonable to expect a similar performance from Hyundai's offering.

Alongside the Ioniq 9, Hyundai will also showcase its full model lineup and the innovative Initium fuel-cell concept SUV at the LA Auto Show. The Ioniq 9's debut comes at a time of growing interest in electric SUVs. The official unveiling will take place on November 21st, with the vehicle going on display for the public from November 22nd to December 1st.
