Jaguar

Jaguar jumped into the deep end of the controversy pool with its latest creation. The company just revealed its Type 00 Concept in Paris in a striking new "French Ultramarine" blue color. This public appearance, complete with actor Barry Keoghan, generated a lot of excitement for the brand's electric vision. At the same time, Jaguar's leaders shared crucial details about their upcoming all-electric four-door GT, ready for release in late 2025.

The Type 00 Concept, known for its unique design and huge butterfly doors, was driven through the streets of Paris, trying to prove that it's more than just a prototype. The new semi-gloss blue paint job is quite a departure from the previously seen pink, adding a fresh look to the polarizing vehicle.

Looking ahead, Jaguar's four-door GT will translate the concept's radical design into a production-ready vehicle. Rawdon Glover, Jaguar's Managing Director, confirmed that the production model will stick to the concept's distinctive styling. Recent spy shots reveal the car will have a long hood, sleek LED headlights, a sloping roofline, and a wide stance.

Jaguar is promising craftsmanship and a driver-centric experience when it comes to the interior. Rather than overwhelming the driver with technology, the company wants to focus on luxury and comfort. The technology will be present, but designed to enhance, not dominate, the driving experience.

The new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), designed exclusively for EVs, will underpin all future Jaguar models. The production GT is targeting an impressive range of up to 430 miles and a maximum output of 735 kW. Jaguar's team, apparently drawing inspiration from classic Jaguars, has spent a lot of time fine-tuning the car's handling and performance.

Jaguar plans to expand its new electric lineup with a luxury sedan and an SUV following the GT's launch. The GT, with a price point exceeding $140,000, will serve as a flagship model, establishing Jaguar's presence in the high-end EV market. The company will remain an all-electric brand, focusing only on its dedicated electric architecture.

It's a boot. It's normal for it to be at the front of most electric cars.
