Leapmotor Announcement

The City of Lights witnessed yet another premiere today. Leapmotor, the Chinese EV maker backed by Stellantis, chose the prestigious Paris Motor Show to unveil its latest creation. The B10 is an electric SUV of about the same size as the Kia EV3 and the new Mini Aceman. It is going to be a key model as Leapmotor pursues an expansion in Europe.

Leapmotor's founder, Zhu Jiangming, proudly presented the B10 as the brand's first global model. Built on the LEAP 3.5 architecture, the B10 features advanced driver-assistance systems and a customizable digital cockpit.

The company hasn't shared specifics on the B10's powertrain, but it is expected to share the 69.9 kWh battery pack with its C10 sibling. That means a similar range of around 260 miles and a single electric motor pushing just under 220 horsepower.

As of September 23, the company had already established a network of over 200 dealers across 13 European countries. This is just the beginning, with plans to expand to 500 sales points in Europe by the end of 2025.

"Together with Leapmotor, we are making high-tech, affordable electric mobility accessible to consumers beyond Greater China," Tavares remarked, emphasizing the collaborative effort to bring innovative EVs to the market swiftly and efficiently.
