Mercedes

Mercedes announced the start of its fast-charging infrastructure project in Canada and it will debut as early as this year. The company promises to reach 2,500 fast-charging stations in Canada and the US. The first ones will open in Vancouver, while the ones in Toronto will follow soon after.

The 400 kW DC fast charging stations will offer both CCS1 and NACS connectors, and since they will be open for cars other than Mercedes as well, EVs that support fast charging can top up really quickly.

Of course, Mercedes owners will have exclusive benefits and privileges such as automatic charger reservation via the advanced navigation system for electric cars and the Plug & Charge feature will also be available to people using the Mercedes me Charge app.

The whole investment is said to be worth $1 billion, and about 300 chargers have already been installed in 11 US states.
