Mini

As all cars destined for the Chinese market, the Mini Aceman passed through the Chinese MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) and the listing reveals key specs and the design as well.

As evident by the photos, the Aceman adopts a familiar body but packs five doors, instead of the three on the Mini Cooper. The chassis looks quite bulky and is reminiscent of the Mini Countryman. No surprise either as the Aceman is the missing link between the Cooper and Countryman.

According to regulatory documents, the Aceman will come in two variants - Aceman and Aceman S. The latter adopts a slightly different look with rose gold trim and a green S logo on the front grille. However, battery options are the same for both variants - 40 kWh or 54.2 kWh. The latter provides up to 249 miles of range based on CLTC standards.

As per the listing, the standard Aceman offers 181 hp while the Aceman S has 214 hp under the hood, and both models make use of a single, front-mounted electric motor.

Notably, these specs are for the Chinese market and the model will be produced in Great Wall's factory and there won't be a gas-powered variant. On the other hand, the UK-made model might not have an all-electric option, just a gas-powered configuration. It's still unclear, though, so we have to wait for an official announcement from Mini.
