BYD teases the flagship Seal 08 sedan and Sealion 08 SUV

BYD just previewed its two upcoming flagship models, the Seal 08 sedan and the Sealion 08 SUV. Unfortunately, the teaser doesn't reveal much except that they are mid-to-large vehicles in their own segments. The carmaker also shared two images, depicting the cars in themed ocean camo, since they are part of the Ocean series.

The company teased the two models in December last year and shared its plans to focus more on the premium market in 2026, so the Seal 08 and the Sealion 08 will mark BYD's major push into the segment.

The new EVs are set to launch in the first quarter of 2026, and they won't be alone. BYD is planning to release two more flagship models from the Dynasty lineup, but those are scheduled for the first half of this year.
