Polestar

Polestar announced its deeper integration with the Plug & Charge service, which has over 800,000 public charging points across Europe, 9,500 of which are High-Power Charging points. The new Plug & Charge functionality is now available to Polestar 3 owners and in the Polestar Charge App.

The new integration saves you some steps before the actual charging begins. With Plug & Charge active, you don't have to go through the authentication process, payment and all the usual steps of setting up a charging session. The system will do it for you. It will negotiate with a compatible charger and charge you for the service automatically. Much like a digital wallet.

The rest of the Polestar cars still have to rely on the Polestar Charge app and the Polestar Charge card. However, the company's CTO said that the team is working to bring Plug & Charge to other Polestar vehicles in 2025.
