Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is here bringing an RS version for the first time

Today Skoda has officially unveiled its latest EV, the Enyaq Coupe iV. It is Skoda's version of the VW ID.5, sharing the coupe body and most specs. The Enyaq Coupe does add a new, smaller battery option that's missing from the ID.5, and the lowest-end RWD model has 4kW higher maximum power output. So it's not a rebadge, but ignoring the looks that are adapted to the Skoda design language, there isn't much of a difference between the two either.

The Enyaq Coupe comes in four "performance levels". The entry-level RWD model is called iV 60, and comes with a 62kWh gross capacity battery (58kWh net). This develops 132kW (177hp) maximum power output with 310Nm maximum torque.

Then there's the (also RWD) Enyaq Coupe iV 80, with an 82kWh gross capacity battery (77kWh usable) and 150kW (201hp) motor with 310Nm maximum torque.

The Enyaq Coupe iV 80x adds a front motor to the mix for a total output of 195kW (261hp) and 425Nm of maximum torque, while the AWD Enyaq Coupe RS iV goes all the way to 220kW (295hp) and a maximum torque of 460Nm. Both of these use the larger battery.

The larger battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes, while charging at home using 11 kW AC takes six to eight hours. You can also use a conventional household socket to charge at 230V at 2.3 kW with an optional cable.

The first ever electric Skoda RS takes 6.5 seconds to go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and has a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph), which is 20 km/h (12 mph) more than all the other variants of the new coupe. The RS is available exclusively in the "striking" Mamba Green paintwork.

The Enyaq Coupe iV has a drag coefficient of 0.234, which enables a range of 545km in the WLTP cycle for the iV 80 model. There's also an optional heat pump to make heating more efficient.

The 80x and RS versions can tow trailers weighing up to 1,400 kg (3,086 pounds) on gradients up to 8%, while for the 80 and 60 the towing capacity drops to 1,200 kg (2,645 pounds). The car's wheelbase is 2,765 mm (108"). It's 4,653 mm long (183"), 1,879 mm wide (73"), and 1,622 mm tall (63").

The Sportline trim level and the RS have a "sports chassis" as standard, being 15mm lower at the front and 10mm at the rear than the others. There are other sporty design elements too, like the surround of the Skoda grille, window trim and rear diffuser, all in gloss black, as are the model designations, the tailgate lettering and air curtain trim on the front apron. The RS also has a full length red reflector on the rear bumper.

Inside there's a 13-inch centrally mounted infotainment screen and a 5.3-inch "Digital Cockpit" in front of the driver, while a head-up display with augmented reality is available as an optional extra. The Laura digital assistant understands 15 languages, and Skoda's ME 3 system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The built-in eSIM allows for always online connectivity, and over-the-air updates are supported.

The black panoramic glass roof comes as standard. The seat covers are made of 40% wool and 60% polyester from recycled PET bottles. There's also optional ecologically tanned leather. The models with the bigger battery have a heated steering wheel and paddles to adjust the energy recovery level. The boot capacity is 570 liters.
