Stellantis

Stellantis took a big step forward today, launching its comprehensive service known as Free2move Charge. This all-encompassing system aims to meet every need of electric-vehicle (EV) owners, offering charging and energy management solutions whether you're at home, work, or on the move. The brand-new Stellantis Charging & Energy Business Unit will oversee this venture, providing a solution to the evolving demands of EV users.

Ricardo Stamatti, senior vice president of the Stellantis Charging & Energy Business Unit, stressed the importance of evolving with the times. He said, "With electric vehicles becoming more popular, we need to do more than just offer mobility solutions. Our goal is to drive electrification strategy with a specialized business unit, acting as an extension of our famous brands. Free2move Charge is our first step, highlighting our commitment to deliver performance, value, sustainability and accessible electric mobility."

At the core of Free2move Charge is the e-ABC Promise - to make it 'easy to Always Be Charged.' But it's not just about ease; it's about smart energy management. By understanding and adapting to users' needs, the system can boost efficiency and reliability, cut costs, and maximize environmental benefits.

What makes this service even more appealing is the e-Genius team at Free2move. They help customers create a customizable package that evolves with their needs, offering a truly personalized experience. Initially, this feature will be available in Europe.

Free2move Charge is a step towards Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aiming to dispel worries about EV ownership, such as charging anxiety. The plan sets ambitious goals, like achieving 100% battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sales mix in Europe and a 50% BEV sales mix for passenger cars and light-duty trucks in the United States by 2030.

Free2move Charge is divided into three categories: Free2move Charge Home - this helps private customers by offering installation, financing, and warranty for home charging and other energy services. Free2move Charge Business is one-stop-shop platform for business users that offers a suite of charging and energy services. Finally, the Free2move Charge GO gives customers access to a vast network of public charging points through partnerships in North America and Europe. It provides access, payment and 24-7 support.

Free2move Charge will also leverage the Stellantis Energy Cloud, integrating with vehicle-branded mobile apps and the upcoming STLA SmartCockpit platform, launching in 2024. This will enable customers to enjoy fast, intelligent routes and charging recommendations tailored to their usage and needs.

Moreover, Stellantis tech company Free2move eSolutions will persist in developing top-of-the-line charging hardware that supports the Free2move Charge ecosystem, serving not just captive customers, but also reaching out to others. Their focus is on bringing even more EV charging solutions to the market in collaboration with industry leaders.
