Tesla is hiring staff for Cybertruck assembly, on schedule for 2023 production

Tesla

Ever since Tesla announced the Cybertruck, production date has been slipping, but new evidence suggests that the company may finally make its latest in a series of deadlines. The upcoming Cybertruck should finally start rolling off the production line in late 2023 since the company is now hiring staff for the assembly as well as someone to lead the process.

Tesla is hiring staff for Cybertruck assembly, on schedule for 2023 production

Electrek stumbled upon job listings from Tesla for its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. As we mentioned earlier, the company is looking for someone to oversee the production process and staff to take care of the BIW (Body in White) stage. That's when the vehicle's body is put together.

Now due to its design quirks, Cybertruck will prove to be relatively hard to assemble since it uses a stainless steel exoskeleton instead of a standard body frame and panels. That's why Tesla has ordered the biggest casting machine in the world just to make Cybertruck production possible.

All this makes us a bit more optimistic that we might start seeing the Cybertruck on actual roads in late 2023.
